Hello. I have just added some subtraction/take away/ count back IXL homework.
You will find in in the year 1 section.
Please assess your child's ability as you go.
I have put on take away from 5 and 10. o.1,o.2 p.1,p.2
Only choose the correct level for your child you don't do both.
We will be looking at subtraction next week in school.
Its meant to fun and all children learn at their own level, stage and have differing abilities and strengths throughout their education .

This week we have been making bean soup in our cooking session.
Nearly all the children finished their bowls. Thank-you to Mrs Halstead who gave us some lovely bread.

We had an afternoon of science experiments this week for National Science Week.
You may want to look online for some simple science experiments you can do at home.
Simple ones such as looking for shadows, floating and sinking objects in the bath.
Freezing water and watching it melt by adding salt.

Home work:
Please can you read with your child it makes such a difference to their confidence and will help their writing skills. Please can you also record just once a week in their reading diary.
I have sent home 'my teams' new sound 'ar' and 1.7 green words on the back. To progress with their reading books they will need to read these words confidently by Easter.
