Welcome to Class 3!

I am really looking forward to having a wonderful year this year with our amazing children.

In Year 3, the children make the transition from Key Stage 1 to key Stage 2. There are lots of exciting changes and they will begin to have more responsibility for their own learning as they mature throughout the year.

Class 3 is a really fun year. We learn about a wide variety of different things from the Stone age to the Vikings in History, we will take trips around the world in Geography and in Science we learn all about rocks, light and the human body to name just a few things.

We try very hard to make our lessons interesting, hands-on and fun. This year we are fortunate to have Miss Monday on a Tuesday (!) to take the children for our Outdoor Learning. The children love spending time in our woodland area and we have all sorts of projects lined up for the year ahead!

Our class aims to work as a team in everything that we do. We respect each other and learn from our mistakes. We always try our best, we are creative and we dream big!

We are very keen to ensure the children are given as many opportunities as possible and we are always happy to welcome parents and volunteers into the classroom to offer additional support. Please do let us know if you can spare any time at all (even an hour) each week to listen to children read or help them practice times tables or areas they may be struggling on, please do let us know. We would always welcome you with open arms!!
