Week ending 3.5.24

Posted: May 3, 2024 by: Zoe Watkins (ZWatkins) on: Class 3

Another amazing week Class 3.

You have all worked hard on our data handling in Maths.  We have created bar charts and pictograms.  We have solved problems using the information we have gathered.

What is a Bar Chart? - TwinklWhat Are Pictograms ? | Maths Definition & Examples | Twinkl

You looked at the key to see what the pictogram images represent.

In Literacy, we have been working on oracy.  The children learnt all about debates and then planned and carried out a debate in the House of Commons (or Class 3's classroom).  The Speaker of the House (Miss Watkins) was very impressed with the children as they held their debates in front of the class, answered questions and then voted.  You had some very good arguments for and against uniforms and whether museums should be free.  The world feels like it might be in safe hands.

We also began our new art topic - weaving.  We began today and you were great.  You were resilient and managed to begin really well, with barely any knots!

Have a great weekend.  Don't forget May Day on Monday, so we will see you on Tuesday.
