Commemorating Armistice Day

admin on: Reception

6th November 2018

Today, children in Key Stage 1 performed We'll Meet Again by Vera Lynn in front of the school, which they have been learning in connection with the centenary of the end of World War 1. We have also been making poppies out of used plastic bottles, with pva glue and paint, to create beautiful symbols of this event. During the afternoon, we attached these to the school gate singing our song again. These have been placed at the front of school for all to admire and remember those who had shown bravery throughout the world.

We made and tasted Rainbow soup (potatoes, carrots, broccoli, parsnip, green beans and stock)

We built a dray for the squirrels to store their nuts for winter in our forest school session.
